The 58th Tokoname-yaki Festival & Fireworks Show Sponsored by the Tokoname-yaki Festival

At the 58th Tokoname-yaki Festival, local potters, wholesalers, and pottery artists will gather to sell their best, limited, and best-priced items.
A fireworks show will also be held on Saturday, October 5, in conjunction with the Tokoname-yaki Festival.
November 2 (Sat) - 3 (Sun), 2024
The floats called “Chita-type” and “Nagoya-type” and traditional culture with various features such as decorative horses (Kazari Uma), musical accompaniment played on traditional Japanese instruments (Hayashi), and Yada Manzai, one of the traditional Japanese theatres in Yada area of Tokoname, coexist in Tokoname. Each of them is unique in its own way.
We hope you will enjoy and feel the spirit of the festival by watching the floats being pulled around, traditional events, and Tokoname's traditional culture, and by listening to the distinctive musical accompaniment and shouts of each group!

Enjoy paid sake tastings starting from just 100 yen per cup, along with sales of brewery-opening exclusive sake, new products, and special “all-you-can-fill” offers.
There will also be food stalls serving complimentary sake and pork soup with sweet sake (amazake).
Stage performances and a kids’ area where children can have fun will be available as well.

At Hakuro’s annual Sake Brewery Open Day, held once a year, visitors can explore every corner of the sake-brewing process, where sake is carefully crafted using traditional methods.
In addition, guests can enjoy a complimentary serving of specially prepared amazake made from sake lees, as well as free tastings of freshly pressed “Junmai” nama genshu (unpasteurized, undiluted pure rice sake) straight from the vat.
There will also be paid tastings of a variety of new sakes brewed this winter.

At the Tokoname Pottery Festival, pottery kilns, wholesalers, and ceramic artists from Tokoname gather in one place, offering a wide selection of fine works, limited-edition items, and special-priced products.
On Saturday, October 3, a fireworks display will also be held in conjunction with the festival!
